My inspiration
This is one on my favorite pictures. These are my four beautiful girls visiting a beloved client. I frequently brought my daughters with me to work. At first it was a no brainer; we had errands to run in town, we could go to lunch after. But what I didn't realize at the time was how it was showing my girls to do good in the world. Not only was their Mom helping someone's oral health, they were making a difference by spending time with an elder. Visiting with her, doing puzzles and crafts were just a few things that took so little time but provided a big impact to the life of the client. Her eyes would light up every time she would catch sight of my little blondies, heck she didn't want to see me! I laughed at every time she would ask how old my daughters were and tell them "all your problems are ahead of you." In life, pause and take the time for these precious moments. Don't rush through them. These are the little things that really matter at the end of the day. Pause, do a kind gesture, smile at a stranger. The world needs more of this everyday and it starts with you.
